Reply with quote | #1 | I am using the live trace tool to convert a photograph to a illustration and I am using the tracing option dialog and when I chose the color mode I have the option to decrease the amount of colours I want to use.
When I enter 2 colours, the illustration always appear in gray and blue. Is there any way I can change that?
I tried the expand option and then change the colours but because there are a lot of details on the photograph is going to be hard to do one by one.
Thanks,
Alex

Reply with quote | #2 | You are getting the same colours because LiveTrace chooses the most abundant ones in a traced image. You need to create a swatch library first.
from Illustrator Help:
Create a swatch library that contains the colors you want to use in the tracing Make sure that the swatch library is open, and click the Tracing Options Dialog button in the Control panel. Alternatively, choose Object > Live Trace > Tracing Options. Select the swatch library name from the panel menu, and click Trace.
