Reply with quote | #1 | Hi Everyone,
I have a concern about this. I am trying to sell my computer IMAC 20" Intel Core 2 Duo (latest model) but I decided that I want to have a laptop now. I started to do more freelance in the last six months and I think is going to be worth it to spend 1,500 dlls more.
My question is: I know the new MAC OS "Leopard" is coming out any time soon this Spring. Should I wait until it's already out, or should I just get the laptop now. I will also like to bring the computer with me at the end of this month. I am going on a trip for 3 weeks.
It's funny how now we can not live without computers and of course the Internet!
Stay Tuned
Alex

Reply with quote | #2 | I don't think there is a reason to wait. Leopard will be for sure compatible with existing models of Intel chip based Macs.
The difference in price between the two MacBook Pro 15" models is not justified in the speed and HD space unless you do video big time. 17" is gorgeous but it is also another 2 lbs heavier and more than 2" wider. Not great for travel.
I got 15" MacBookPro and it's absolutely fantastic. The double page display is big enough for travel and jobs on site and at home you can get another monitor hooked up to it.
I hope it helped, L.
