GoogleEarth on Leopard

I recently upgraded my Intel-based Mac Book Pro to Leopard and GoogleEarth to the latest version (4.2 ). GoogleEarth crashes after a couple of minutes from launching it. I heard about similar problems with Power Macs or with the older versions of GoogleEarth on Intel-based Macs with Leopard. Has anyone experienced the same problem on Intel-based Mac with Leopard installed?

Illustrator CS3 PDF problem

I'm working in Illustrator CS3 and need to send a hi-res pdf to print. When I convert the file to pdf using Illustrator, it saves as a blank page. Does anyone know why and how I can resolve?

save as a photoshop (Illustrator or InDesign)

An OS question: when to repair permissions

I know that it's a good idea to repair permissions around the time when new updates are being downloaded, but I've heard different opinions on weather they should be repaired before or after the download.

Any ideas on which one is the correct one?

HTML copy

This is a very basic question as I am just starting to learn html.

I want the body copy on one of my pages to be HTML type.

I know what to do with images and slices, how do I bring in html type.

And...

I also want to make sure that the page expands or contracts vertically depending on the size of the html body copy.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

checking if a pdf is high res

Can anyone tell me how to check if a pdf that has a photoshop image in it has been made into a correct high resolution setting (both the pdf itself as well as the image in the pdf)?

Do I need a certain version of Acrobat to determine this?

Live Trace

I am using the live trace tool to convert a photograph to a illustration and I am using the tracing option dialog and when I chose the color mode I have the option to decrease the amount of colours I want to use.

When I enter 2 colours, the illustration always appear in gray and blue. Is there any way I can change that?

I tried the expand option and then change the colours but because there are a lot of details on the photograph is going to be hard to do one by one.

Mac Computer Waiting for Leopard

Hi Everyone,

I have a concern about this. I am trying to sell my computer IMAC 20" Intel Core 2 Duo (latest model) but I decided that I want to have a laptop now. I started to do more freelance in the last six months and I think is going to be worth it to spend 1,500 dlls more.

My question is: I know the new MAC OS "Leopard" is coming out any time soon this Spring. Should I wait until it's already out, or should I just get the laptop now. I will also like to bring the computer with me at the end of this month. I am going on a trip for 3 weeks.

It's funny how now we can not live without computers and of course the Internet!

Templates in Dreamweaver

I made two mistakes in the beginning of creating my new site in Dreamweaver:

1. I made editable regions in a template were I shouldn't,

2. I think I used two different templates for my pages unnecessarily.

The result is that I can't update all pages when I update the template and even Find and Replace does not change all the pages (maybe I changed the coding at some point).

Is there a way to create a proper template and apply it to all the pages at once? If not, how should I go about straightening this mess?

I appreciate all input.

Quark to InDesign

For some of us who have yet to crossover from Quark to InDesign, my understanding is that this was best done from older versions of these softwares.

What would be the best approach to convert from Quark 6.5 or Quark 7.0 files to InDesign CS3?
